Virginia Johnson


I was honored to photograph, Virginia Johnson, the artistic director of Dance Theatre of Harlem. Virginia has served as a role model for young black dancers and has exemplified American classical dancing. Over her years of performing, Virginia had the opportunity to perform for U.S. presidents Carter and Reagan.

Rhapsody Magazine

RHAPSODY_JULYI especially enjoyed working on this assignment with the great peeps at Rhapsody, United Airlines magazine for United’s premium-cabin customers and visitors to United Global FirstSM lounges. I setup a mini studio in the first class lounge at Newark airport and Chicago O’Hare airport. The challenge was to photograph people in between flights to introduce the interesting people that fly United Airlines. This is what I love about what I do. I get the opportunity to meet new people and ask them a million questions about their everyday lives and what inspires them. It’s a win win for me.
